About
Curated, not stocked.
Most diecast retailers carry whatever the distributor pushes. We don't. Every model in our catalogue is one we would be happy to put in our own display case — which means we say no to a lot more than we say yes to.
Criteria
What gets in
- Studio reputation. We work primarily with BBR, Looksmart, MR, AUTOart Signature, AvanStyle, Kyosho, Spark, and TrueScale Miniatures. They sweat the details — opening parts where appropriate, accurate paint codes, working details, certificates of authenticity.
- Edition size. We favour limited runs of 200–999 units. Anything mass-produced ends up on Amazon at half our price — it's not what our collectors come to us for.
- Scale. Mostly 1:18 and 1:43. Selected 1:24 and 1:64 when the studio nails the detail at that scale.
- The car itself. Hypercars, motorsport, classics with provenance. We don't carry economy cars, no matter how well-made the model is.
Sourcing
Direct from the studio
We buy direct from each studio whenever the territory allows it, which gets you the unit at studio pricing minus our margin instead of distributor-pricing-plus-two-middlemen. For studios that require regional distribution (BBR via Asia, MR via Europe), we work with one accredited distributor per territory and keep those relationships long-term. Provenance matters.
What we say no to
No grey-market units
We don't carry units sourced from collector resale, warehouse closures, or studios we can't directly verify. If we can't trace the unit back to the studio's shipping invoice, it doesn't come in. This is the single biggest reason we will occasionally lose a sale to a cheaper online listing — and we are fine with it.
